Leading school organizations today has become more complex over the past few years. Managing individuals and teams to work collaboratively to reflect and solve problems can be challenging without the appropriate mindset and strategies from leaders and supervisors. Coaching is an effective tool that all leaders must master to lead their teams forward productively.
This AA is designed for the educational leader who wants to learn how to leverage coaching to achieve exceptional results. The Academy will focus on building a mindset for coaching, valuable strategies, and techniques, as well as providing clinical applications in which to practice these strategies while receiving feedback. This academy experience will address the fundamental components of coaching, active listening, humble inquiry, and accountability.
This AA is highly interactive, with activities, simulations, and role-playing. The Application and Dissemination portion of the Academy will allow participants to complete an online survey reflecting on their learning and evaluating the Academy, a written plan outlining their own Individual Learning Coaching Plan to practice skills learned, and a reflection paragraph that discusses themselves as future coach. Importantly, the strategies and techniques learned in the workshop can be immediately applied in the leaders' roles, ensuring a practical and beneficial learning experience.
